April 25th in shorts
This short film programme, which we showed on Friday, 23 August 2024, in cooperation with the Filmklubb Offenbach, took an in-depth look at the cinematographic representation of the Carnation Revolution on the 25th of April 1974 in Portugal. For the 50th anniversary of the revolution, we dedicated our short film night to a selection of productions from various years, which approach the topic with very different methods and distance themselves from the documentary visualisation of the events. We presented this selection of experimental, animated, documentary or fictional short films in the original Portuguese version with English subtitles.
Short film programme:
- “A Noite Saiu à Rua” (The Night Has Come), Abi Feijó, 1987, 4’
