57Nord is a small studio community in Offenbach’s north end, in Domstraße 57 to be precise – in the backyard, of course. The cosy 40 square metre space is home to photographer Herr Walther and upcycling artist Frank Ludwig (Upcycring).
The studio space is usually used for exhibitions and workshops, but occasionally small concerts are organised. The room is equipped with a projector and sound system. All performances at 57Nord are free of charge.
We will be showing two late night screenings of short films there – the ‘Lights, Camera, Activism‘ reel on the Friday and the ‘Long Night of Shorts‘ on the Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a matinée with a shared meal and the German documentary film ‘Viva Portugal’ at noon, followed by the ‘Short Film Finale‘, which concludes the festival and features further short films from the Rhine-Main region and the Lusophony, which will compete for the jury prize.
