LusOFest is the festival for Portuguese-language film. Every year, it shows a small selection of feature-length and short films and documentaries from the Portuguese-speaking world, the so-called Lusophonie. The Portuguese-speaking world comprises the countries of Angola, Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Portugal and Timor-Leste (East Timor).
The first edition of the LusOFest film festival will take place in January 2025 at the Filmklubb Offenbach. As a prelude, we will be showing a short film programme on the 1974 Carnation Revolution in Portugal during our Summer Night on 23 August 2024.
