LusOFest 2026. Be Water, my Friend
In January 2026, LusOFest will once again be showing feature films and short films from the Portuguese-speaking world at various locations in Offenbach. This year's focus is on the element of water and the seas and oceans, which simultaneously divide and connect the language area in their ambivalence. Parts of the programme are already online. We will publish further details shortly. Follow us on social media so you don't miss the next announcements.

Summer Short Film Session
It's a wrap. The two Summer Short Film Nights on 13 and 14 June 2025 marked the end of the LusOFest 2025 festival season. We showed some unscreened films from our shortlists, more works by the filmmakers involved this season, and repeated a few excellent short films from the 2025 edition. We'll share more details on the session soon!

Once Upon A Time The Revolution
Building on the recent 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal and the independence of Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau and East Timor, we have chosen "revolutionary movements and their consequences" as the main theme for the 2025 programme. The festival took place from 23 to 26 January at the Filmklubb Offenbach and the galery 57Nord. We've recently published a recap of the 2025 edition inside our blog.
